Constitution of ISU Textile Club

1. Naming of the Club: International Standard University Textile Club (ISUTC)
2. Address of the Club: 69 Mohakhali C/A, Dhaka-1212.
3. Slogan: Learn Textile, Spread Textile

5. Nature of The Club: It is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian and university level textile education development organization. 

6. Aims and Objectives of Textile Club: 
Aim of the club: To add value to our activities and ensure proper dissemination of knowledge to its members and Textile Industry as a whole. It is fully functional to enhance their potential for spreading knowledge related to the textile education & industry. 

Objectives of the club are to: 
  • improve the quality of textile education in the university. 
  • make the textile practice popular among the students by inspiring advance metrological study & research. 
  • introduce research activities in the textile sector. 
  • bring the students of the department under one umbrella. 
  • create a fraternal atmosphere among the students. 
  • increase student’s working skills. 
  • develop friendly relationship between students and teachers. International Standard University 
  • implement artificial intelligence & robotics in textile. 
  • create awareness about the 4th industrial revolution. 
  • build skilled human resources by announcing their arrival in the textile sector. 
  • form an alumnus. 
  • arrange reggae days, receptions, annual met up with alumni, etc. 
  • organize and participate in national, annual & other festivals. 
  • organize job fairs. 
  • organize sports, cultural programs & blood donation camps. 
7. Activities of the club: 
  1. Organizing seminars, workshops based on skill development of the students. 
  2. Organizing various types of training for skill development of students. E.g., 
  • Microsoft Word. 
  • Microsoft Excel. 
  • Microsoft PowerPoint. 
  • Professional Email Writing. 
  • CV, Resume Writing, CAD/CAM & Programming. 
     3. Organizing Textile Talent Hunt. 
     4. Organize career talk. 
     5. Arranging industrial visits. 
     6. Publishing magazines. 
     7. Organizing textile fests. 
     8. Conducting inter-departmental cultural activities. 

8. Eligibility to become a member: 
  • Coming to the university on a regular basis. 
  • Voluntary participation in various activities of the University. 
  • Should have a variety of traits and qualities (such as leadership, punctuality, responsibility, etc.). 
9. Temporary suspension and cancellation of membership: 
  • Not paying the subscription for 3 months after receiving the membership. 
  • Absence in 3 consecutive meetings without prior notice. 
  • Doing anything contrary to the interests of the textile club or neglecting any section of the constitution. 
  • Doing anything immoral and treasonous. International Standard University 
10. Organizational structure: 
The Textile Club will have 3(three) councils. 
  • General Council, 
  • Advisory Council and 
  • Executive Council. 
11. Formation, responsibilities and duties of the General Council: 
  • The General Council will be the highest body of the Textile Club. This council and also the executive council will be constituted of general members. 
  • The General Council shall approve the annual budget, revenue and expenditure and all the activities of the Executive Council. 
  • The General Council will be able to make all kinds of final decisions for the overall improvement of the club. 
  • The General Council shall form an Executive Council by election for 1 (one) year. 
  • This Council will approve the annual plan, amend the constitution, add and approve it. 
12. Formation, responsibilities and duties of Advisory Council: 
  • The Textile Club can form a 5/8-member advisory council consisting of the head, textile teachers, former textile club members, eminent social worker, philanthropist, retired officer / employee of any government / semi-government organization. 
  • The Advisory Council will assist and advise on the smooth implementation of the developmental projects of the Textile Club. Act as a donor to the Executive Council. The members of this council do not have to pay monthly dues and they have to vote or contest elections. 
13. Formation of Executive Council: 
A 20 (Twenty) member executive council will be formed by creating the following posts. However, the membership of the Executive Council can be increased or decreased subject to the approval of the concerned authorities by amending and adding to the constitution if necessary. However, an executive council can be formed with 7(seven) to 21(twenty-one) members. International Standard University

  • There will be one batch representative from each batch who will represent their batch. 
15. The main organization supporting the textile club: 
  • International Standard University (ISU) 
  • Jamuna Bank Limited 
  • Standard Group. 
16. Duties and Responsibilities of the Executive Council: 
  • The Executive Council shall convene an annual general meeting and shall be responsible for the management of the organization. 
  • Prepare the annual budget and perform the audit work at the end of the financial year. 
  • Maintain the governance and discipline of the organization and take care of all the assets of the organization. 
  • Raise the necessary funds for the implementation of the project. 
  • Maintain all types of income and expenditure accounts and present them in the general meeting for approval. 
  • Implement the annual work plan and decisions taken by the General Council, International Standard University
17. Term of Executive Council: 
  • The term of the executive council will be 1 year. 
  • The year will be counted from November to October. 18. Filling the vacant posts of the executive council: 
  • If any post of the Executive Council becomes vacant after the expiry of more than half of the term due to resignation, death, or any other reason, the vacancy shall be filled by co-opting from among the ordinary members of the Executive Council. 
19. Resignation: 
  • If the president of the executive council wants to resign, he/she has to submit application to the secretary. It will be effective subject to the approval of the council. 
  • The editor and other members may submit their resignation letter to the President. It will be effective subject to the approval of the council. 
  • If the Executive Council fails to give a decision within 15 (fifteen) days of the submission of the resignation letter, the membership will be deemed to have been cancelled. 
20. Financial Management 

(A) Source of income: 
  • Admission fee. 
  • Monthly subscription. 
  • For far sports, drama and cultural events. 
  • Donor agencies. 
  • Others. 
(B) Expenditure: 
  • Implement is of development activities. 
  • Organizing seminars, textile related events. 
  • Purchase of stationery goods. 
  • Entertainment.

(C) Management of bank account and transaction account: 

In case of financial transactions, a savings/current account in the name of Textile Club has to be opened in any Scheduled Bank of Bangladesh in the area. 
  • The bank account will be managed under the joint signature of the Head of the Textile Department and any two teachers in the General Council. 
  • The money collected in the name of Textile Club has to be deposited in the club’s own bank account. However, the treasurer can keep a maximum BDT 5,000 for the contemporary expenses of the club. And if more than one thousand taka needs to be withdrawn from the bank, the permission of the Executive Council will be required. 
  • The Textile Club needs to get the approval of the Executive Council meeting to withdraw the money before the expenditure and re-approve the expenditure at the next executive meeting after the expenditure. 
21. Constitution amendment procedure:
In order to amend the constitution on any subject, the amended proposal must first be submitted to the General Council of the organization and as per the rules, it will be finalized after getting the approval of 2/3 of the members of the General Council. 

22. Extinct: 
If 2/3 of the total members of the organization want to dissolve the textile club for specific reasons, then all the movable and immovable assets of the textile club can be transferred to the university subject to the approval of the university authorities. 

This constitution was unanimously approved at the general meeting.
